Summit Year 3 Meeting Last Night!
What a Meeting we had last night in Summit County. The year 3 University groups are nailing down projects. There are 40 year 3 youth in Summit and they have broken into 3 groups with these topics: 1. Youth Mental Health 2.Underage drinkin, smoking and tobacoo use 3. Pine Beetle
The group of students working on Youth Mental Health are starting a blog for youth to go to who may need help. It will also have resources and other web links for youth to access.
The group of students working on Underage Drinking, Drugs and Tobacco are taking pictures of where they see these items and advertising and putting together a slide show with their comments about these issues.
The group of students working on The Pine Beetle project are puting together info and pictures and what people can do to help and creating a presentation that they will share with the community. They are also thinking about having a tree planting service day.

Starting May 26-June 1, if you buy a combo meal from one of the following Taco Bell locations in Colorado (Eagle, Frisco, Glenwood Springs, Rifle), $1 will go to SOS Outreach. Last year Taco Bell raised over $3,000 through this effort for SOS programs and its hoping to double it this year. If you are near one of these Colorado locations over Memorial Day weekend, stop in, fill your belly and help some local kids get outdoors.See More
