New AmeriCorp Vistas = New Staff

I have been to two seminars on "making ends meet in a tough economy" for non-profits. SOS is blessed to have a very passionate staff and an AmeriCorp Vista grant. AmeriCorp is like the Peace Corp but staff work in the U.S. rather than aboard. For the past 3 years we have had 3-4 per year. Starting in July we will have a total of 9! They are barely paid and work as hard as full time staff. They keep me on my toes and excited about our programs. Over the next few months, I hope you get to meet them all. Without them SOS would be have a real tough time.
