Come Join Eagle County Year 3 Students in a Day of Service!
Come join the Eagle County Year 3 University Students in a day of service this Saturday May 8th. The year 3 students have been working all year to organize this event and need all the help they can get in carrying out such a large project. This years project is the restoration of the Eagle River in Edwards, CO. This portion of the river is wider than most areas, flows slower and therefore has a warmer water temperature. Students are joining forces with the Eagle River Watershed Council to help narrow the river and plant native plant species to help shade the river and provide support for the river banks. When: Saturday May 8th 9am-3pm
Where: Corner of Hillcrest and Lake Creek Village Dr in Edwards, CO
What: Help plant willows, sapplings and build the project monument
What to Bring:
- sack lunch
- clothes and shoes that can get dirty
- water bottle
- gardening gloves (if you have them)

Starting May 26-June 1, if you buy a combo meal from one of the following Taco Bell locations in Colorado (Eagle, Frisco, Glenwood Springs, Rifle), $1 will go to SOS Outreach. Last year Taco Bell raised over $3,000 through this effort for SOS programs and its hoping to double it this year. If you are near one of these Colorado locations over Memorial Day weekend, stop in, fill your belly and help some local kids get outdoors.See More
