We received the message below from our friends at Mountain Hardwear & thought we'd pass it along - great opportunity for anyone involved with SOS, as we're one of the 10 eligible groups!

Mountain Hardwear’s Send a kid to Camp campaign wrapped up on April 15 and I am please to let you know that is was hugely successful! SOS will be receiving a check for $4,000 within a week or two...
In addition, I am excited to tell you about a fantastic opportunity for your youth leaders. Mountain Hardwear has partnered with the Outdoor Industry Foundation to sponsor the ground-breaking Outdoor Nation Youth Summit and Festival, which takes place in Central Park in New York City on June 19 and 20.
We are looking for two youth leaders from among our ten Send a Kid to Camp organizations to represent Mountain Hardwear as youth delegates at the Summit.
Our two ambassadors will also be involved in a press conference at one of our foremost retailers in the city on June 18. All expenses including flight, hotel and incidentals will be covered.
This opportunity is open to individuals ages 16 – 26 (under 18 needs approved chaperon whose expenses are not covered). Please encourage your youth leaders to apply to be part of the Mountain Hardwear Outdoor Nation Delegation. The deadline to apply for a Mountain Hardwear delegate position is May 21. The application can be found atwww.outdoornation.org/mountainhardwear.
The Outdoor Industry Foundation will select Mountain Hardwear’s delegates from among all applications received from our ten Send a Kid to Camp organizations. Please see the attached Media Alert and www.outdoornation.org for more information on the Outdoor Nation Summit.

Starting May 26-June 1, if you buy a combo meal from one of the following Taco Bell locations in Colorado (Eagle, Frisco, Glenwood Springs, Rifle), $1 will go to SOS Outreach. Last year Taco Bell raised over $3,000 through this effort for SOS programs and its hoping to double it this year. If you are near one of these Colorado locations over Memorial Day weekend, stop in, fill your belly and help some local kids get outdoors.See More
